Initiative 502 - Regulation and Decriminalization of Marijuana

Local travel expert Rick Steves will be speaking about Initiative 502 - an effort to legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana. He will offer perspectives from his experiences in Europe, where drug use is treated as a health issue rather than a criminal one. This evening offers an opportunity to learn more about the movement supported by many law-enforcement personnel to legalize marijuana. The initiative has been presented to the legislature, and will likely be placed on the ballot in the fall.
